If you are full-time you are eligible for vacation, sick and company paid holiday time. If you are part-time with a regular work schedule between 20-29 hours per week you are eligible for vacation time. See 2022 Centene observed holidays.
Caregiver Leave: Caregiver leave may be available to you after 90 days of employment if you are a full-time employee. You are provided with 4 weeks of leave with full pay so you can take time to care for a family member with a serious condition or for new parents following the birth or adoption of a child.
Employee Assistance Program: When you need a helping hand, the EAP provides free, confidential counseling and referrals for you and your family. The EAP provides assistance with stress, substance abuse-related issues, work/life balance, child and elder care, and more. You are eligible for this benefit on your first day of employment.
Retirement Savings Program: Centene provides an opportunity for you to share in the company’s success through our 401(k) retirement match. You can contribute up to $20,500 in a Traditional and/or Roth 401(k) account. Centene matches 50% of the first 6% that you contribute per pay period. You are eligible to enroll in the Centene 401(k) plan at hire and can start, stop or change your election at any time during the year. In addition, if you take no action, you will automatically be enrolled in the 401(k) plan at a pre-tax deduction of 6% of eligible compensation after 31 days of employment. The 401(k) Plan is administered by Fidelity Investments.

Tuition Reimbursement Program: To support career development, Centene offers Tuition Reimbursement that allows you to submit most of your degree-related expenses for reimbursement, such as qualified course tuition, books and approved fees. You may be reimbursed up to $2,500/year for an Associate’s Degree; up to $5,000/year for a Bachelor’s Degree and up to $8,000/year for a Master’s Degree program. The degree being pursued must be beneficial to you and Centene. You are eligible for this benefit if you are a full-time employee and you reach six months of service.
Adoption Reimbursement Program: If you are adopting a child, Centene will reimburse up to $7,500 per adoption, for eligible expenses (maximum of 3 adoptions per family). You are eligible for this benefit if you are a full-time employee and the adoption was finalized after your start date at Centene.
Employee Discount Program: The employee discount program — available on your first day of employment — offers discounts on a variety of products and services you may use in everyday life, such as movie tickets, hotels, restaurants, car rentals, and travel discounts.
